Selma - Norwich Amnesty's Film Season

29 March 2018 - 18:00

‘Selma’ chronicles the historical events of 1964, centred on the marches at Selma led by Martin Luther King as part of the civil rights campaign following the murder of four black girls in Birmingham, Alabama, and the attempt to obtain voting rights for black citizens. Amnesty International campaigns for victims of human rights abuses wherever in the world they occur, and also on behalf of campaigners who, like Martin Luther King, often work at great personal risk, for the rights of others.
