Information surgery #3:
Open Call for creative commissions in response to COP26
2:00 PM – 3:30 PM GMT

The British Council is inviting applications for creative commissions which bring together art, science and digital technology and offer innovative, interdisciplinary and collaborative responses to climate change. The commissions will be part of the cultural programme in the build up to the United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), which the UK is hosting in November 2021.

Join our expert panel for information and guidance on COP26, the open call, application guidance, funding guidance and more. There will be a Q&A at the end of the session where our panel will endeavour to answer any questions you have about the Open Call.

For the first time, the UK will host the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on 1st – 12th November 2021. This will be the largest international climate change summit the UK has hosted; bringing together over 30,000 delegates including heads of states, climate experts and campaigners to agree coordinated action to tackle climate change. COP26 will be supported by a build-up events programme in Italy, which will include a major Youth Event and the Pre-COP Summit in September 2021.
